Do you currently hold a temporary residence permit for employment or study in Slovakia?
Documents Required
All foreign public documents (such as diplomas) must be Apostilled or superlegalized to be recognized in Slovakia. Every document must be in Slovak or Czech, or accompanied by an official translation into Slovak.
Identity and Core Documents
- Passport: Must be valid for at least 90 days beyond your intended departure from Slovakia.
- Application Form: A completed and signed official national visa application.
- Photographs: Two recent color photos (3 x 3.5 cm).
- Health Insurance: Proof of coverage in Slovakia for at least 90 days (if seeking a job) or until your employment begins.
Educational and Professional Proof
- University Diploma: Your original diploma or a certified certificate of completion.
- Job Seekers: A solemn declaration (affidavit) with a certified signature stating that your purpose of stay is to look for highly qualified employment.
- Employees: A written promise of employment or a signed employment contract specifying your ISCO occupation code.
Financial Proof
- Proof of Funds: If you are applying for a residence permit simultaneously, you must show you have sufficient financial means (approximately €56 per day of stay), typically via a certified bank statement.
