Eligibility Quiz
Do you currently hold a temporary residence permit for employment or study in Slovakia?
Requirements
Eligibility is strictly defined by your educational background and the nature of your intended role in Slovakia. You must fit into one of the following three categories:
- Slovak or Czech University Graduates: You have completed a second-degree (Master’s level) university education in either the Slovak Republic or the Czech Republic.
- Top Global University Graduates: You graduated from a prestigious international institution listed in Annex 1 of the Regulation (e.g., Harvard, Oxford, MIT, Stanford). Your study program must have lasted at least three years.
- High-Demand Specialists: You have completed at least a four-year university program and will be employed in a high-value occupation listed in Annex 2. Qualifying roles include executives, managers, IT professionals (software developers, systems analysts), specialized doctors, and scientific researchers.
Important Limitations:
- Quota: There is an annual limit of 3,000 national visas granted under this regulation per calendar year.
- Current Status: You cannot apply if you already hold a temporary residence permit for employment or study in Slovakia.
- Skill Level: This visa is reserved for "highly qualified" roles. General labor or low-skilled positions do not qualify, regardless of your educational background.
