All foreign documents must be Apostilled (or legalized by a Portuguese consulate) and accompanied by a certified Portuguese translation if the original is not in English, French, or Spanish.

- Valid Passport: Must be valid for at least three months beyond your intended stay.
- Passport Photos: Two recent, high-quality color photos.
- Criminal Record Certificate: Issued by your country of origin and any country where you have resided for more than one year.
Professional and Educational Proof
- Academic Credentials: Original diplomas and transcripts.
- Professional Certifications: Proof of specialized training or high-level technical skills.
- IEFP Declaration: The proof of registration from the Portuguese employment portal.
Logistics and Support
- Proof of Financial Means: Bank statements from the last three months or a signed Term of Responsibility.
- Proof of Accommodation: A rental agreement, a hotel booking (typically for at least 30 days), or a formal invitation letter from a resident.
- Travel Medical Insurance: A policy with a minimum coverage of €30,000, including emergency medical expenses and repatriation.
