Documents Required
You must gather a comprehensive set of documents to prove your eligibility and identity. All foreign documents not in English must be accompanied by certified translations.
Identity and Status Documents
- Valid Foreign Passport: Your current passport must have at least 6 months of remaining validity.
- Renunciation Certificate: The official document proving you formally renounced your Nigerian citizenship.
- Proof of Original Citizenship: An attested Nigerian Birth Certificate or other official documentation (such as an old Nigerian passport) proving you were a Nigerian citizen by birth.
- Passport Photographs: Recent digital or physical photographs that meet the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) specifications.
Supporting and Security Documents
- Formal Application Letter: A letter addressed to the Comptroller General of Immigration requesting the N2A visa.
- Security Clearance Certificate: A police clearance report or security report from the national police authority in your current country of residence.
- Evidence of Relationship: If applying with family, you will need marriage certificates for spouses and birth certificates for children.
