Eligibility Quiz
Are you currently outside of Mexico?
Documents Required
You must present original documents and one set of high-quality photocopies. Documents not in English or Spanish must be accompanied by a certified translation.
- Passport: Original and a photocopy of the photo page. It must be valid for at least six months from your date of application.
- Visa Application Form: Must be printed double-sided on a single sheet of paper.
- Passport Photo: One recent photo (3.9cm x 3.1cm) with a white background, face uncovered, and no eyeglasses.
- Financial Records: 6 to 12 months of bank statements or pay stubs. Many consulates now strictly require "wet-signed" or physical stamps from your bank; digital-only PDF downloads from "neobanks" are frequently rejected.
- Proof of Legal Status: If you are applying in a country other than your country of citizenship, you must provide proof of legal residence (e.g., a Green Card or long-term visa).
- Civil Documents (Family Unity only): Marriage or birth certificates. These must be apostilled by the issuing government authority to be recognized in Mexico.
