Documents Required
All documents issued by foreign authorities must be officially translated into Greek by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs translation service or a certified lawyer. They must also bear an Apostille or be legalized by a Greek consulate if your country is not a member of the Hague Convention.
Identity and Status Documents
- Valid Passport: A full copy of your current travel document.
- Biometric Photos: Four physical passport-sized photos and a digital version on a CD or USB drive.
- Greek Citizen’s ID: A copy of the Greek national's police ID card and their certificate of Greek citizenship.
- Certificate of Family Status: A recent document (issued within the last six months) from the Greek municipality where the Greek citizen is registered.
Proof of Relationship
- Marriage/Partnership Certificate: A recent copy of the Greek marriage certificate or registered partnership agreement.
- Birth Certificates: For children applying as descendants.
- Proof of Dependency: For parents or adult children, you must provide evidence such as bank transfer records, medical certificates, or proof of lack of income in your home country.
Financial and Residency Documents
- Proof of Residence: A lease agreement (submitted via the Taxisnet platform) or a title deed showing the family lives together.
- Health Insurance: A certificate of registration with EFKA or a private insurance contract.
