Requirements
To qualify for this status, you must meet strict historical and legal criteria. This pathway is not open to all veterans, but specifically to those who served during World War II.
Principal Applicant
- Veteran Status: You must be a Filipino veteran of World War II.
- U.S. Citizenship Source: You must have acquired American citizenship specifically under the United States Immigration Act of 1990. Veterans who acquired U.S. citizenship through other naturalization laws or at different time periods do not qualify for this specific visa.
- Original Nationality: You must be a natural-born Filipino citizen who served in the Philippine forces during the war.
Eligible Dependents
The following family members may be included in the application to receive the same permanent resident status:
- Spouse: Your legally married spouse.
- Children: Your legitimate, natural, or recognized illegitimate children. They must be unmarried to qualify as dependents under your application.
Conditions & Warnings
Eligibility is strictly limited to WWII veterans who acquired US citizenship specifically under the United States Immigration Act of 1990.
Most eligible veterans now prefer RA 9225 (Dual Citizenship) as it provides full citizenship rights and a Philippine passport.

Fees
Filipino veterans are exempt from registration and immigration fees (gratis) under Section 4(a) of RA 7837. Dependents pay standard PRV fees (approx. PHP 8,620).
