Documents Required
You must gather a comprehensive portfolio of identity, legal, and clearance documents. All documents issued in China must be Apostilled or authenticated by the Philippine Foreign Service Post in China to be accepted.
Identity and Civil Documents
- Valid Passport: Original and photocopies showing your latest arrival and a valid authorized stay (e.g., a current tourist visa).
- Marriage Certificate: A Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) issued certificate if married in the Philippines; if married abroad, a Report of Marriage issued by the Philippine Embassy or Consulate.
- Birth Certificates: A PSA-issued birth certificate for the Filipino spouse and any children included as dependents.
Clearances and Medical Records
- NBI Clearance: Required if you have been in the Philippines for six months or longer.
- BI Clearance Certificate: A record check from the Bureau of Immigration.
- Medical Certificate: A clearance issued by the Bureau of Quarantine confirming you do not have prohibited medical conditions.
Application Forms
- Consolidated General Application Form (CGAF): Form No. MCL-07-01, which must be notarized.
- Letter of Petition: A formal written request from your Filipino spouse supporting your application for residency.
