Eligibility Quiz
Are you currently a family member of a recognized refugee or subsidiary protection beneficiary already living in Hungary?
Documents Required
While the lack of documents does not automatically disqualify an asylum seeker, providing evidence significantly strengthens your case.
- Identity Documents: Your passport, national ID card, or birth certificate.
- Statement of Intent Form: The specific form required for the initial embassy stage.
- Evidence of Persecution: Any documentation supporting your claim, such as police reports, court summons, medical records showing injuries, or news articles mentioning your specific situation.
- Biometrics: You will be required to provide fingerprints and photographs once you are permitted to lodge the formal application in Hungary.
Note on Translations: While you do not need an Apostille for asylum documents, the NDGAP generally requires Hungarian translations. The authorities typically provide translation services for essential documents during the formal procedure.
