Eligibility Quiz
Are you a citizen of a non-EU/EEA/Swiss country?
Documents Required
All documents issued by foreign authorities must be officially translated into Greek by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs translation service or a certified lawyer. They must also be legalized, typically via an Apostille or through a Greek consular authority.
Identity and Status Documents
- Valid Passport: A full copy of your valid travel document, including the page showing the entry stamp into Greece.
- Photographs: Four recent physical passport-sized color photos and a digital copy (CD/USB).
- EU Citizen’s Registration: A copy of the EU sponsor’s Greek registration certificate.
Proof of Relationship
- Certificates: Marriage certificate, registered partnership agreement, or birth certificates (to prove parentage or descent).
- Proof of Dependency: For children over 21 or parents, you must provide evidence (such as bank transfers or medical records) proving that you are supported by the EU citizen and cannot meet your basic needs without their help.
Financial and Health Documents
- Health Insurance: Proof of full health insurance coverage in Greece. This can be a private insurance policy or registration with the Greek public social security system (EFKA).
- Sponsor’s Income: Documents showing the EU citizen has the financial means to support the household (e.g., employment contract, bank statements).
