Documents Required
The process involves both the Sponsor in Greece and the family members abroad. All foreign documents must be officially translated into Greek and bear an Apostille stamp (or legalization by a Greek Consulate if the country is not a member of the Hague Convention).
Identity and Legal Status
- Valid Passports: For all parties, valid for at least three months beyond the intended stay.
- Family Status Certificate: A recent official document proving the family link (Marriage Certificate or Birth Certificates).
- Criminal Record: A clean criminal record certificate for all adult family members from their country of origin.
- Health Certificate: A medical certificate for family members proving they do not carry diseases that pose a risk to public health (as defined by the WHO).
Financial and Administrative
- Tax Returns: The Sponsor’s Ekatharistiko (tax assessment notice) from the previous year to prove stable income.
- Lease Agreement: A registered electronic lease agreement or a property title deed.
- Insurance Policy: Proof of private health insurance or registration with the national social security provider (EFKA).
