Documents Required
All documentation must be submitted in duplicate (two complete sets). If any documents are not in English, they must be accompanied by certified translations.
Identity and Legal Status
- Form G: The official application form, completed and signed.
- Passport: Photocopies of your bio-data page and every page containing previous Ghanaian residence permits.
- Non-Citizen Ghanacard: A photocopy of your mandatory Non-Citizen ID card.
- Photographs: Two recent passport-sized photos.
- Police Report: A current criminal clearance certificate issued by the Ghana Police Service.
- Medical Report: A specific medical clearance issued only by the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) Clinic.
Professional and Financial Proof (General Applicants)
- Referees: Attestation letters from two Ghanaian referees. These must be professionals (Notaries Public, Lawyers with valid practicing certificates, or Senior Public Officers) and must include copies of their national IDs.
- Business Records: Audited company accounts for the last 3 years, SSNIT (social security) returns for Ghanaian employees, and a GIPC (Ghana Investment Promotion Centre) Certificate.
- Tax Clearance: Personal and company tax clearance certificates covering the last 6 years.
- Property/Social Proof: Evidence of immovable property (land titles/indentures) and documentation of philanthropic or social work performed in Ghana.
Spousal Support Docs (Foreign Spouses)
- Marriage Certificate: An official copy of your marriage certificate.
- Spouse’s Citizenship: A photocopy of your Ghanaian spouse’s passport bio-data page.
- Financial Evidence: Either your personal tax clearance or a formal letter of financial support from your spouse accompanied by their bank statements.
