Documents Required
All documentation must be scanned and uploaded to the official e-services portal. Documents not in English must be accompanied by a certified translation.
Identity and Legal Status
- Foreign Passport: A clear scan of the bio-data page of your current valid passport.
- Birth Certificate: A certified copy of your original birth certificate.
- Non-Citizen Ghana Card: A copy of your mandatory identity card issued by the National Identification Authority (NIA).
- Police Clearances: Original certificates from your home country and the Ghana Police Service (CID Headquarters).
- Medical Certificate: A certificate of fitness issued by a recognized health facility within Ghana.
Pathway-Specific Evidence
- For Spouses:
- Official Marriage Certificate.
- A formal Letter of Consent from your Ghanaian spouse.
- Proof of the spouse’s citizenship (Ghanaian Passport or Ghana Card).
- Evidence of a bona fide marriage (e.g., joint bank statements, joint tenancy agreements, or birth certificates of children).
- For Historic Diaspora:
- Proof of a valid two-year residence permit.
- Evidence of "Strong Ties" (e.g., Business Registration documents, Property Title/Indenture, or an Employment Contract).
- Letters of recommendation from a local Chief or a recognized community organization can significantly strengthen the file.
