Are you a British National (Overseas)?

You will need to gather the following paperwork to support your application:

Identity Documents: A valid passport or travel document. While a BN(O) passport is helpful, an HKSAR passport is perfectly acceptable.
Proof of Residency: Documents such as utility bills, bank statements, medical records, or residence permits that show you currently live in Hong Kong or the UK.
Financial Evidence: Bank statements, payslips, or investment portfolios showing you meet the maintenance requirement (approximately £2,000 for a single adult or £3,100 for a couple as of 2026).
TB Certificate: A certificate from an approved clinic that is less than six months old.
Relationship Evidence: Marriage or civil partnership certificates, birth certificates for children, or evidence of cohabitation (such as joint tenancy agreements) for unmarried partners.
