Documents Required
While the Spanish system allows you to apply even if you lack certain documents, providing the following will significantly strengthen your case:
- Identity Documents: Your original passport and a full copy of all pages. If you do not have a passport, any other national ID or birth certificate should be provided.
- Proof of Entry: Flight tickets, boarding passes, or bus/train tickets showing when and how you entered Spain.
- Evidence of Persecution: Any documentation that supports your claim, such as police reports, court summons, medical certificates, news articles mentioning your situation, or photographs.
- Photographs: Recent passport-sized photos (carné).
- Translations: Any documents not written in Spanish must be accompanied by a translation performed by a traductor jurado (sworn translator).
