Eligibility Quiz
Is your primary reason for seeking protection based on economic hardship or a lack of job opportunities in your home country?
Documents Required
While the lack of a passport does not prevent you from applying, you should gather as much evidence as possible to support your claim:
- Identity Documents: Your national passport, birth certificate, marriage certificate, or military ID. If you have no documents, the police will issue an Applicant’s Card (Preukaz žiadateľa), which serves as your ID within Slovakia during the process.
- Evidence of Persecution: Any physical or digital evidence that supports your story, such as court summons, police reports from your home country, medical records documenting injuries, threatening messages, or news articles mentioning your specific situation.
- Travel Evidence: Tickets, boarding passes, or receipts that show your route to Slovakia.
- Translations: While the Migration Office provides interpreters for interviews, having professional translations of your supporting documents into Slovak can significantly assist your case.
