Do you hold a Permanent Residence Permit, EU Long-term Residence Permit, or Right of Permanent Residence in Poland?
Documents Required
All foreign-language documents must be translated into Polish by a sworn translator registered in Poland or by a Polish consul.
Identity and Status Documents
- Application Form: Completed in Polish.
- Biometric Photos: Recent color photos (3.5 x 4.5 cm).
- Travel Document: A valid foreign passport.
- Residence Card: Your current Karta Pobytu (Permanent or EU Long-term).
- Polish Civil Registry Records: You must first "transcribe" (umiejscowienie) your foreign birth certificate and marriage certificate into the Polish registry. You must submit the Polish versions issued by the Civil Registry Office (Urząd Stanu Cywilnego).
Integration and Financial Documents
- Language Certificate: An official state certificate or a diploma from a school/university where Polish was the language of instruction. Note: As of July 2025, certificates from post-secondary "policealna" schools are no longer accepted.
- Proof of Income: Documents confirming a stable income, such as an employment contract, B2B contract, or PIT tax returns from the previous year.
- Proof of Housing: A legal title to your residence, such as a rental agreement, a deed of ownership, or a lending agreement (użyczenie).
