Eligibility Quiz
Are you currently outside of your country of nationality or former habitual residence?
Documents Required
The Philippines follows a "totality of evidence" rule, meaning the lack of a specific document will not automatically disqualify you. However, you should gather as much of the following as possible:
- Verified Application Form: The primary document provided by the RSPPU.
- Identity Documents: Any available passports, birth certificates, or national ID cards from your country of origin.
- Personal Narrative: A detailed written account of the circumstances that led you to seek protection.
- DOJ Recognition Letter: Once your status is granted, this official letter is required for all subsequent benefits and naturalization.
- Proof of Residency: For those eventually seeking citizenship (naturalization), you must provide proof of at least one year of continuous residence in the Philippine locality where you are filing.
