Do you have a qualifying family relationship with a Mexican citizen or a legal foreign resident of Mexico?
Documents Required
All foreign documents (except your passport) must be apostilled (or legalized) in the country where they were issued. Once in Mexico, these documents must be translated into Spanish by a translator certified by the Mexican judiciary.
Identity and Application Documents
- Visa Application Form: Completed and signed.
- Passport: Original and a high-quality color copy of the data page.
- Photographs: Passport size (3.9 cm x 3.1 cm), white background, front view, without glasses.
Proof of Relationship
- For Spouses: A marriage certificate (ideally issued within the last six months).
- For Children/Parents: Birth certificates clearly showing the names of both parents.
- For Common-law Partners: A judicial declaration or a formal certificate of concubinato (concubinage).
Sponsor Documentation
- Proof of Status: The original and a copy of the sponsor’s Mexican ID (INE), Mexican Passport, or their valid Temporary/Permanent Resident Card.
