Eligibility Quiz
Do you hold a valid Italian residence permit (Permesso di Soggiorno) with a duration of at least one year?
Documents Required
Gathering the correct paperwork is the most time-consuming part of the process. All foreign documents must be legalized or apostilled and accompanied by a certified Italian translation.
Identity and Status Documents
- Sponsor’s Permit: A copy of your valid Permesso di Soggiorno.
- Passports: Full copies of your passport and the passports of the family members joining you.
- Proof of Relationship: Original birth certificates or marriage certificates. These must be "sworn" or legalized by the Italian Consulate in the country of origin to be valid in Italy.
Financial and Housing Documents
- Proof of Income: Your most recent tax return (CUD or Modello Unico) or recent payslips (buste paga).
- Housing Certificate: The original Idoneità Alloggiativa issued by the Municipality or local health authority (ASL).
- Health Insurance: If sponsoring a parent over 65, you must provide proof of private health insurance or a commitment to register them voluntarily with the Italian National Health Service (SSN).
