Eligibility Quiz
Do you hold 'Refugee Status' or 'Subsidiary Protection' in Ireland?
Documents Required
You must provide original documents. If these are not in English or Irish, they must be accompanied by a certified translation.
Identity and Status Documents
- The Application Form: A completed "Family Reunification Application Form."
- Grant Letter: A copy of the official letter from the Minister for Justice declaring your Refugee or Subsidiary Protection status.
- Irish Residence Permit (IRP): A copy of your current residence card.
- Passports: Copies of your passport and the full passports of the family members you are sponsoring. If they do not have passports, other travel or identity documents must be provided.
Proof of Relationship
- Marriage/Civil Partnership Certificate: Must be the original certificate. If issued outside the EU, it may require an Apostille (a form of international legalization) or official authentication.
- Birth Certificates: Original certificates for all children being sponsored, or for the sponsor if they are a minor applying for parents.
- DNA Evidence: In cases where documents are unavailable or deemed unreliable (common in conflict zones), the Immigration Service Delivery (ISD) may request DNA testing from an accredited laboratory at your expense.
