All documents not in English or Irish must be accompanied by a certified translation.

Identity and Status

• Passports: Valid passports for both you and your EU sponsor.
• Proof of Residence: Evidence that you are both living in Ireland (e.g., a joint utility bill or tenancy agreement).

Proof of Relationship

• For Spouses/Partners: A marriage or civil partnership certificate. For de facto partners, extensive evidence of a two-year committed relationship (joint bank accounts, shared leases, photos, and travel history).
• For Children/Parents: Birth certificates proving the family link.
• For Dependents: Evidence of financial reliance, such as bank transfers or proof that the EU sponsor covers your essential living costs.

Sponsor’s Economic Activity

• If Working: A recent contract of employment, payslips, and a letter from the employer.
• If Self-Employed: Business accounts and proof of registration with the Revenue Commissioners.
• If a Student or Self-Sufficient: Bank statements showing sufficient funds and a private medical insurance policy that provides "comprehensive" cover in Ireland.
