- Proof of Lineage: A "chain" of civil documents (birth, marriage, and death certificates) connecting you to the Irish citizen relative.
- Proof of Relative’s Status: The relative’s Irish passport, naturalization certificate, or Foreign Births Registration certificate.
- Evidence of Connection:
- School or university records from Ireland.
- Employment contracts or Irish tax records (P60/Employment Detail Summary).
- Property deeds or residential lease agreements in Ireland.
- Letters of support from Irish community organizations or sports clubs.
- Certified Translations: Any document not in English or Irish must be accompanied by a professional translation.
- Apostilles: Foreign civil documents (like US or Brazilian birth certificates) often require an Apostille (a form of international legalization) to be accepted by Irish authorities.
