Eligibility Quiz
Are you a citizen of Pakistan or of Pakistani origin?
Requirements
To qualify for the e-Student-X visa, you must meet specific relationship and institutional criteria linked to a primary student.
- Relationship: You must be the spouse or child of the primary student. In the Indian immigration system, "immediate family" generally does not include parents, siblings, or extended relatives for this specific category.
- Primary Visa Link: The principal student must either already hold a valid e-Student visa or be applying for one at the same time as you.
- Institutional Recognition: The primary student must be enrolled in a full-time course at an institution recognized by the Government of India and registered on the Study in India (SII) portal.
- Nationality Restrictions: While most nationalities are eligible for the e-Visa system, applicants of Pakistani origin or those holding Pakistani passports are ineligible for the electronic process and must apply for a traditional paper visa at an Indian Mission.
- Financial Self-Sufficiency: You must demonstrate that the family has sufficient funds to support your stay in India without seeking local employment.
