Documents Required
All documents must be submitted in Czech or with a certified translation. Most documents (except identity cards and photos) must not be older than 180 days.
- Identity Documents: A valid passport and two passport-sized photographs (35 x 45 mm).
- Proof of Residence: A notarized lease agreement or an official Potvrzení o zajištění ubytování (Owner's Confirmation of Accommodation).
- Financial Proof: Documents showing your monthly net income (e.g., payslips, employment contracts, or tax returns for business owners).
- Language Certificate: An official certificate proving you passed the A2 Czech language exam.
- Criminal Record: While the Ministry usually checks Czech records internally, you may be asked to provide an extract from your home country or any country where you lived for more than 6 months in the last 3 years.
- Foreign Certificates: Any foreign documents (like marriage or birth certificates for family members) must be properly legalized with an Apostille or super-legalization to be recognized.
