Documents Required
All foreign documents must be original or certified copies, accompanied by a translation into Croatian by a certified court interpreter. Depending on your home country, documents may also require an Apostille.
- Identity Documents: A valid passport that expires no sooner than three months after your intended stay.
- Proof of Continuous Stay: Your previous residence permits and a record of entries/exits to prove you haven't exceeded absence limits.
- Financial Proof: Employment contracts, bank statements for the previous year, or pension slips showing a consistent income.
- Housing Proof: A registered rental contract or a certificate of ownership (vlasnički list) for your home.
- Health Insurance: A certificate from HZZO or proof of private insurance.
- Clean Criminal Record: A certificate from your home country (and any country where you lived for more than a year in the last five years) proving you have no criminal convictions.
- Language Certificate: An official certificate of passing the Croatian language and Latin script exam from an authorized institution (e.g., a Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences).
