Eligibility Quiz
Are you currently physically present in Argentina or at an Argentine border point?
Documents Required
Argentina recognizes that people fleeing for their lives often cannot carry formal paperwork. While you can initiate a claim without documents, providing the following will significantly strengthen your case:
- Identity Documents: Your passport, national ID card, or birth certificate. If these are missing, you must provide a sworn statement regarding your identity.
- Proof of Domicile: A Certificado de Domicilio (issued by a local police station) or a utility bill showing your current residence in Argentina.
- Evidence of Persecution: Any supporting materials such as news articles, police reports from your home country, medical records, or written witness statements that substantiate your claim.
- Translations: While the initial filing is flexible, formal documents used during the evaluation phase should ideally be translated into Spanish by a certified translator (Traductor Público).
