Documents Required
All foreign documents must be Apostilled (if the country is part of the Hague Convention) or legalized by the Argentine Consulate in the issuing country. Documents not in Spanish must be translated by a Certified Public Translator (Traductor Público) in Argentina and legalized by the Colegio de Traductores.
Identity and Background Documents
- Valid Passport: A current passport with at least six months of validity remaining.
- Entry Stamp: Proof of your legal entry into Argentina (usually the digital entry record or passport stamp).
- Certificate of Good Conduct: A criminal background check from your country of origin and any country where you resided for more than one year during the last three years.
- Argentine Criminal Record: An Antecedentes Penales Argentinos certificate, issued by the Ministry of Justice.
Proof of Relationship (The "Link")
- Birth Certificates: To prove parent-child relationships.
- Marriage Certificate: To prove a spousal relationship.
- Proof of Reunifier’s Status: A copy of the Argentine DNI (Documento Nacional de Identidad) of the family member you are joining.
Supporting Documentation
- Proof of Address: A Certificado de Domicilio (issued by a local police station) or a utility bill in your name to prove where you are living in Argentina.
- Photo: A standard 4x4 color photo with a white background.
